New Door Ventures

New Door Ventures

This garage door on 21st Street in The Mission District is a wonderful graphic depiction of The City's coastline including Lake Merced in the Southeast, a pair of lakes fed by a deep spring. It also highlights bridges, BART, and a few ferry lines. The grouping of icons at the bottom is a wonderful solution to the usual clutter of placement. I like, too, how the piece continues seamlessly to the building.
The compass is simple and balances the scale.
The green door is one i want to go through.
All in all, a fine, fresh, functional SF mural.
