Becoming China Basin

China Basin, originally uploaded by deanv41.

As the eastern bayside of San Francisco continues its dance between decay and a new bloom, places like The Ramp persist. It's a beloved institution tucked away at the end of 16th Street, China Basin, at the water on a deck of a small marina. The food is basic pub grub and American breakfasts but I usual stop by for a beer, or better yet a Wyder's Pear Cider nearly white and effervescing. There are few low key places on the city's waterfront like it.
