The city has turned its attention to mobile graffiti, the stuff on delivery trucks around town, citing it as blight and considering punitive fixes. I'm against this idea, especially when I catch sight of Dan Plasma's work on an old ugly U-Haul truck. It's sublime and adds terrifically to the cityscape. Why is any advertising good to go but individual artistic expression diminished and attacked? If it is a property issue, that is legitimate and should be adjudicated or otherwise resolved, but if it is simply an aesthetic one, i believe City Hall is shooting itself in the foot picking this battle.
