Instead of remaining a citizen of China...

Romolo Alley has a Chinese immigrants' mural on the eastern wall. It tells quite a different story than most of the murals in Chinatown. This one not only depicts the nightlife once famous in that district, but also a real struggle to express the difficulties of their everyday lives. It isn't a tidy piece of art. It is an essential one, though, doing what muralism does best: graphically telling a big, bold story.
