Goata on Commercial Street

In the wake of Banksy marking domain in SF's Chinatown on Commerce Street comes Ericailcane's piece, Goata, on the same street. They are both Public Art superstars. I'm happy to have them in the neighborhood. They help keep it on the map, as it should be. So much more could be done to promote the neighborhood -- thanks to Art in Storefronts and others -- but it is at the moment forgotten, passed by for The Mission and more glamorous districts-of-the-moment. Over time, though, this haunted ground once home to the original port and stomping ground of Mark Twain, will again be a center for tales in this city.
