L'Chaim, or Another Kind of Life

L'Chaim, or Another Kind of Life by deanv41
These great puppets -- The Sun & Moon -- dancing beside Daniel Libeskind's Contemporary Jewish Museum, echo the trapezoidal shape of the building which represents the Hebrew word L'Chaim, or To Life.
I'm reminded of the fable of the Gollum, a clay man-vessel that keeps inside it the memory of the Jewish people during times of dispersal and threat.
Now hear the drummer snap his marshall tattoo and watch it rise, the Sun waving goodbye to the Moon before it too turns to set, dancing on to light the next day.
