Orthodox San Francisco

My brother-in-law's silhouette helps frame The Russian Orthodox Cathedral -- Holy Virgin, Joy of All Who Sorrow -- in The Richmond District. The area around Geary and 25th Avenue is the heart of the city's Russian life, with the Cathedral at its epicenter. It's a lesser-known attraction but one of San Francisco's most impressive example of sacred architecture. Here we see it from the grand window of my niece's Anza Heights home.
