Filipino Folk Festival

So much seemed to be going on today in The City, from Outside Lands in the Western reaches to a parade & Filipino Folk Festival downtown. I'll be in Golden Gate Park tomorrow for the music at Outside Lands, but today I stuck to downtown & met a friend and his daughter for lunch. While checking out the Bay Area Now show at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, we had a look around the Filipino Folk Fest at YBG.
Over the course of the past quarter century, this arts district has transformed utterly from skid row to a robust cultural center, great lawn, and performance area. The wonderful Martin Luther King Waterfall also makes YBG a true urban oasis.
Filipino Pride

This traditionally dressed group of Filipino Folk were especially fetching.
