Stylish Street Fare

I spent a lovely afternoon in Saint Mary's Square where food trucks assembled for an Off the Grid lunchtime. The scene was so pleasant, like an unplugged moment in an over-electrified era. The food options ranged from BBQ (I had a pulled pork sandwich) to Filipino to Southern American fried chicken and the crowd was manageable.
It seems a simple enough idea, street food, but San Francisco has been late to the game. I'm eager to support this fresh wave of casual dining. It really reflects the times here -- tough, but still inventive and epicurean to its core.
