The Bus Ride Home

As every San Franciscan knows, the municipal public transportation, MUNI, is an entity to contend with, saving not time but only a walk. It's in dire condition as the circulation system for the city itself and should be rethought top to bottom.
The ride home from the music festival this weekend was surprisingly manageable, although I did have to walk quite a ways north from Golden Gate Park to California and 25th Avenue. The wonderfully civilized vibe of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass continued, luckily, as we trundled across the northern tier of the city, taking nearly an hour to go six or so miles. Ah, well. It saved a walk.
