La Gallinita

There may be a more vivid street in San Francisco than 24th in The Mission, but I've never found it. The number of murals, galleries, coffee shops, and produce markets attest to Latin pulse of this essential city street. Here's a painting on a utility box outside a butcher's shop --an example of the incidental artistry that crops up all along one of San Francisco's great immigrant corridors.
